| History | 2003-01-10 Paul Evans and Keith Farley went down in early January 2003 to view the engine al Ellerslie near Exeter. The engine was in a dismantled state stored in an open fronted barn and suffering from some weathering. The main bed was on a partially collapsed farm trailer and parts were to be found all over the site. 2003-03-10 The engine and all main parts were removed from site and taken to Wheelers Transport at Bridgewater for storage before moving to Wales. 2003-03-22 The engine arrived at the museum and the block was placed onto the prepared bed in Power hall 3 |

| Conservation/ Maintenance History | First Inspection 2003-03-28 All parts had been sorted ready for cleaning and it was found that the main bearings were not useable. A spare new set of bearings had arrived with the engine and these were taken to CEGELEC in Swansea for machining. Both rods and pistons were removed from the block for cleaning and then replaced | |
