First public run at the 2013 End of Season Crankup
From the old Petter factory collection and originally installed near Minions on Bodmin Moor. Was driving a compressor in a quarry until the 1970s.
|Conservation/ Maintenance History|
Engine completely stripped after 40 years static. A puller was required to extract the piston but once out appeared to be in excellent condition.
Return To Service
The engine was rebuilt during September 2013 and first ran on the 8th of October. New main bearings in SAE660 white metal lined. Work carried out by Coleherne in Manchester
New outrigger bearing in SAE660 produced in the museum workshop.
