Hello, looking for a manual or parts diagram for the Empire Lubricators that were put on the Ruston HR series engines. Nothing seems to be out there...anybody ?

Thanks, Paul

Never seen or heard of one despite Empire being widely used in the teens and twenties.
I was under the impression that Ruston used their own albeit similar to the Empire.
Have you tried Ray Hooley?

cheers
Roland

Yup, Ray gave me the model numbers that were used during the serial number ranges but that was all he had besides one reference to the supplier of them to Rustons. did petter use the Empire when they weren't putting the Calibrator on the S's I'd have to go over to your site to have a look.

Not the S (generally at least). They did use them on the Vs - both the VD and VJ at IF should have them but they were replaced in service. The Tangye MLD7 at IF also has one. Tony Harcombe's VC has one.
They do crop up after that but very rarely owing to the cost. I have one special order M type that has a belt driven single feed Empire and know of two others like that.

Do you need one or do we just share a desire to see the paper? :-)

The Empire on one of my 4YHR's has one of the top "push buttons" bent over and I wanted to have a look at the design before I went at it. Seeing as there is nothing out there as of yet if we do find something lets get it posted somewhere for everyone. Thanks for your reply.

PS- That engine is c1947

Never needed one, they are fairly obvious when you strip. Tangye MLD lubricator has been apart several times without any bother.

If we had paper it would be in the manuals area but as Roland says, never seen a copy in 40+ years!
