i don't suppose they had CCTV on site???? as many down here do,and like in previous posts the scrap yard new what it was and that bit was worth money...all they think about is the money side of it...
if its a proper the scrap yard owner should have the little bas---ds details,as you must have a waste carriers licence that you get from the government, theres a number that on the licence and that can trace the owner of said licence..its been in force for a few years down here, and if you don't have the licence your not allowed to carry scrap about...or on the other hand it mite be mates of his and in that case you mite not catch them..but none the less if the police know there job they should already have chased this up..it must have been a big ish vehicle that took it in the first place..you mite go on local TV and radio to see if anyone saw this going down the road..long shot but it mite pay off...
hope you find them, and when you do chopp there fingers off that way they wont do it again..
regards,mike...
Our one down our way always takes your registration, address etc, but I dont think you need a license unless you do it commercially
