Internal Fire Museum of Power

Gentlemen,

Another picture of a key problem with an engine seen whilst visiting a well know museum yesterday, it is the flywheel of a Lister J generating set at the museum using a jubilee clip to hold a key in place.

......and is that a crack at the base of the top LH spoke? The flywheel looks loose on the key with side clearance.

I'd ask both of you to think carefully before using that photo. Its easy to point fingers and critisize on a third party forum. I think Paul would get most upset if things started appearing on another forum about deficiencies at IF, as would any museum curator. If you have a problem, speak to a person on site and point it out to them. I shall be contacting the person concerned tomorrow.

Well said Mark, that would be the best thing. A caption would be anonymous anyway, it would just point out the inadequacies of the bodge.
