Internal Fire Museum of Power

A good evening,and well-attended. The muted lighting added to the atmosphere, with the steady beat of the big Tangye now accompanied by the hunting rhythm of the Allen triple (which ran all evening). The Proteus is always spectacular at night ... and provided some welcome warmth, if only briefly(!) Most of the engines behaved impeccably, although the reluctance of the hot-tube gas engine to start perhaps showed why that particular technology has been superseded......

Oh, and the hot chocolate and sausage roll were very welcome, too.
