Hi All,

Just out of interest, do you have any snow? and whats the level?

Here in North Sussex we have approx 12-14 inches on the ground with a significant fall last night of about 8 inches. Gatwick which is about 10 miles away reportedly had 12 inches fall last night.

Green grass and sunshine for last fortnight.

And -1C :-(

Still working outside though, quite pleasant.

In Reigate we've got 30cm snow, no buses, no trains, no planes

Totally sick of it in the frozen North. I was up to my thighs in it helping a friend feed livestock this week. On the bright side, I have only managed to get the van stuck once. I've ordered snow chains for it, but they will probably arrive when the snow has gone.

Ian,

If you stopped walking around on your knees it wouldnt be so deep :D

What Pee's me off is the news on the telly with doom and gloom, I got up yesterday in Portsmouth to watch the news and if I hadnt looked out of the window of the hotel you would have thought the world had come to an end with how deep the snow was yet when I came to drive home at 09:30 it had all gone and was a lovely day all the way back to Northamptonshire to the office via Oxon and Bucks then back home to Bedfordshire mostly frosty fields.
What happens when the weather actually turns bad :D

Too cold for me to go fishing but next week looks good and the winter fish have arrived. Only about 2" here and mostly gone but now bitterly cold. Twice attempted workshop today but lost contact with my hands after about 20 mins. Flippin medication!

Dont think I like the idea of raining Salmon. Could do the car a lot of damage and be mighty slippery on the roads :) Its quite slippery enough for now!
I obviously have the wrong car. My work colleague was brought in to work today by his son in his 'top of the range' Volkswagen Turbo Injected Passat complete with Idiot button, sorry traction control. Means you can do 85 no probs even on the frozen outside lane whilst all us Numpties crawl around at a more sedate speed.
Oh well back to the asylum.

Snowing well here, I went up to the shed for half an hour to exact some measured abuse on the broken flywheel key on the Lister P, by the time i'd come back into the house it had covered up my foot prints.
I wish it would warm up a bit I want to get the MH flywheels and some other bits painted.
The key come out by the way after some serious slide hammering :D

Cheers Gary..
