Does anyone recognise this please. I've had it for years and thought it S-T but it doesn't match any S-T I've seen.
Its suggestive of a single cylinder, spark ignition two-stroke marine with an 18mm plug. The head is 5" OD and the plain combustion chamber is 3" dia.

Time to show again.

Ideas welcome
thanks

Roland,

No doubt our eminent new editor of SEM would be only too pleased to include it under "Identity & Assistance" . Looks interesting!

Hi Roland,

From 1st glance it looks like a P3/P4 head, but with some differences..... Am correct in saying the head is slopped?
Is the “tap” a to do with the waters ways or a decompressor/priming valve?
Is the out let to the right linked to the water way? it might be something to do with a water cooled exhaust?

Very intriguing.

Cheers Steve

The head slopes but not the combustion chamber. The outlet is water and the, probably non-original, "tap" connects to the combustion chamber so might originally have been a primer.

cheers

Well its a odd thing, I dont have a P4 anymore to compare the head, maybe a attempt at water cooling the exhaust of a early marine P5 which resemble the P4 with a gearbox.

Yea its diffrent from the standard head P4/5, with the extra high water outlet it took to me that it could of been an idea of creating a water cooled exhaust, before the better know style of P5M was introduced?

Cheers Steve
