For sale is this IFA Multicar M25 model With a Reliant powered 8.5 ish kv generator all in good running order
some of you may recognise this from various rallys over the past few years and hopefully may see it again!!
I am sadly advertising this on behalf of the previous owners widow. It was a much loved machine which i am not terribly knowledgeable about but here goes... Its German built I believe in the 80s and originally had to sets of driving controls, it could have been fitted with a number of different body's hence the clever name "multicar" for example road sweeper, tipper etc. This one was rescued some years ago from somewhere in Oxford I believe and was in a very sorry state with no body present. It has undergone lots of work over the past few years and now has a rigidly mounted generator on the back in a custom built enclosure.
I have been and started the lorry and the generator today and i must say both started with ease which is good considering they have been sat around since last year. The brakes are free and everything seems to move and work as it should.
At some point the vehicle has been registered for use on the road in this country but the log book is not present although there is number plates and id plates on the vehicle so I shouldn't think it would be to hard to apply for one.
It comes with a draw bar which attaches to the front of the lorry so it can be towed by a van or 4x4 to get it about on the road.
Any interest please ask, there are a couple of short videos on my youtube channel bradfordamanco of them running and more pictures if required
thanks Glen

As a great fan of IFA vehicles I must confess a strong interest. I have a Robur truck and have owned several Trabants in the past. Dare I ask what the price is? I have less interest in the generator so perhaps someone would be interested in doing a split?

It's down to bad timing really. I have just bought a Gaz69M so I'm all out of money until next payday end of April.

This is the first time I have ever come across a Multicar for sale in the UK although I have seen anoher one at a rally a couple of years ago.
