Charles,

you are correct, not quite bomb proof as he had one let go in a big way by spending to much time on the limiter with a low ratio auto box/diff combination  he has a different combination now and limited to 6500 rpm.

Gentlemen,

Not such a good day today, no gas so no welding so we thought we would sort out the intermittent starter problem, took the motor off and tried to fit one of my brothers spare stock only to find different orientation so swapped the solenoid and fitted unit only now motor turned once and wont turn any more as it appears to have a dead spot, car now stuck in garage and looking for another motor.

Gentlemen,

The Rover boot floor is now in place and after a bit of tidying and painting it will be finished, still having problems trying to find a Starter motor/solenoid so the car is stuck in my brothers workshop, much to his annoyance as he needs to get his racer in to prepare for next weekend.

Gentlemen,

No Rover repairing this weekend as brother is racing so got stuck into finishing a couple of jobs, first I bought some wood to make a box stand for a water tank for my recently acquired single flywheel A, care of Dealer Dan  and then I spent a couple of hours making a throttle lever for a friends Cletrac Crawler that he is refurbing, a bit of turning, some drilling and milling. Tomorrow my best mate and I are going to erect the trailer tent and affect a couple of mod's/repairs. We noticed when we last used it that one of the frame tubes has a bend in it so we are going to put a piece of steel angle on the bend and with the aid of some clamps we are going to slowly straighten the tube.
