Gentlemen,

Thought I would amuse you, its been a busy day today, my wife's sister came for the day so a spot of lunch in the village hostelry was in order but first of all I had to cut the grass. This year I bought a brand new Qualcast Electric Lawnmower and its done a resonable job and this morning it came out of the shed to carry out its duties but about a third of the way into cutting the backyard grass it suddenly slowed up, thinking I may have clogged it I stopped it to check and found it clean so switched it on again and carried on, after about five minutes it started to slow again plus there was the added bonus of smoke so it got stopped again and this time I had another look to find that the motor was so hot it had melted its way through the plastic casing. No problem get the receipt and return it for another but guess what my wife and I couldnt find the receipt so had to go buy another mower but not a Qaulcast.

You could still have taken it back. It's an old ploy telling folk that a receipt is necessary.
The receipt that You got was for Your benefit. The shopkeeper would have had a copy.
I remember a consumer program on the box a few years ago going into this subject.
They were going round shops advising the proprietors that it was strictly illegal to
display a sign saying that a "Receipt is Necessary" for exchange of goods.

Jon,

The amusing bit was nothing goes well for Martin and the fact that the motor melted through its casing, as to how I am I am well and as stated in another posting I finally know what the problem is with my leg and how to sort it. By the way Apple day is the 21st October.
