Engine installed after long term open storage at Norwich and IF. Sump full of water and sludge, cleaned and no obvious corrosion. Oil filter cleaned and oil lines blown through. Engine had been oiled and barred regularly since arriving in Wales. Cylinder relief valves missing and replacements fabricated using Spirax valves until original type can be found.

At some point in the past the expansion gear had been removed. The complete spindle, crosshead fork, lody and levers were fabricated from photographs supplied by Forncett St Mary Steam Museum.
