		Initial Assessment	After moving into SH1 the engine had a basic assessment following removal o... more After moving into SH1 the engine had a basic assessment following removal of covers and blanking plates. During the move several pipes were bent but all are reooverable. On the generator end, the crank end cover hinges have been broken for some time, this will require new cast hinge top halves welding to the original casing. Internal inspection shows most components in good order but all locknuts and split pins missing of main bearing and b/e studs. Some light rusting on the exposed surface of the crank requires removal before barring. Inlet and exhaust ports are clean and scope investigation where accessible shows clean and oily surfaces, all split pins etc appear present on the valves and pistons.	2017-06-25

Insufficient boiler capacity meant only around 10 seconds at 360rpm. Excess steam still going through centre cylinder.	2019-10-12
