The liner required removal and a missing front seal fitting. Drillings for the quills were required and new quills fabricated. New piston rings were fitted A new pump plunger was fabricated Sideshaft bent probably as a result of improper slinging at some point, now straightened and checked. The big-end was also found to be damaged with distortion in both halves.	2014-03-09

Notes from Tyne & Wear reveal that the engine had been converted to start from a Crossley 2hp petrol engine using countershaft and clutch.	2013-06-10
		Maintenance	Oil film on water in tank so head/liner pulled. Liner nuts all loose, faces... more Oil film on water in tank so head/liner pulled. Liner nuts all loose, faces cleaned and re-assembled. Big end shows 0.004" ovality. Checking valve timing showed that the exhaust cam profile has been modified resulting in the opening being reduced by around 45 deg. Cam adjusted on sideshaft to give proper overlap which leaves exhaust opening late but engine running better.	2018-11-17
