From Woodchurch Museum:-
It was accessioned by us in 1993 when Geoff Loynes, our founder, donated it. Its accession number is WDCWM0096. We understand Geoff acquired it a short time earlier from a ?museum? (which we believe to have been a private collection).

It was formerly used as a laboratory engine in a College for teaching students engineering and thermodynamics. Unfortunately there is no evidence of which College used it.
