History | 2010-02-07Engine and gas plant were installed at Coales Mill in 1915. In 1972, a team from Milton Keynes Museum of Rural Life removed the engine and placed it in storage at the museum.
In 2009 MK donated the engine to Internal Fire and she will be restored over the 2010 season.
The gas plant is too far gone to be used and will be restored for static display. |

The only major problems are a stuck piston and one main bearing top half which will require metalling.
Complete Strip 2010-02-19 Piston removed and found to be in excellent order with good rings and little end. Camshaft assembly stripped, all bearings good, ring oilers requre replacing.
Ignitor stripped, cleaned and tested. |
