Conservation/ Maintenance History | Strip for Storage2011-04-27 On arrival the engine was still in one piece so the crank was pulled for storage.
Recent damage was evident on the governor gears caused by moving the flywheel with the sideshaft seized. Governor head missing but found in the crankcase, shaft sheered. Governor top missing.
Removal of the main bearing caps showed the crank in surprising good order and the piston was moved two inches whilst removing the big end.
Injector poor with broken and missing casting. |
