Well this time next week hopefully we will all be there ready for what is sure to be another cracking show.

So whos going, what are you taking and when are you getting there?

Were going across on Thursday and are taking the Ruston 2PS, 2hp Sprayer engine (badged Witte), Witte headless 6hp, Jupiter rammer and possibly a Villiers WXII.

    Hi mike
i am getting there on friday afternoon roughly at midday i am taking my 2 1/4hp amanco Hired Man petrol parrafin engine. My mate is taking his little dishpan fairbanks hit and miss and think we are taking another one of our mates engines in the van which i think is going to be a little 1hp tom thumb.

See you all there, dont forget to look out for me those of you that know what i look like.

I'll be there hopefully from Thursday evening, work permitting, if not early Friday. Taking the Pegson Rammer, early Warsop Benjo Rammer, and the later Warsop, plus probably a Warsop Breaker if it'll fit in the van along with all the beer

    Cheers

Take the engine to Astle anyway - you're sure to find the relevant bit on one of the stands somewhere... :) Which spring exactly is it?

    Cheers

I know that it's a strange concept to you... But for me it's the only rally this year that work will interfere with

First batch of gear for Astle left today via Shropshire. Gary has the Pelapone dynamo and radiator (still not finished but he is welding up the mounts this week), plus the Amanco, Benjo and the Lister diving compressor.

We will be bringing the rest of the Pelapone up on Friday. Combined weight of the dynamo and engine is over 3 tons so could not travel together.

It is the main igniter spring that goes on to the shaft which causes the igniter trip to spring back causing the points to close, i will take the engine but if i do not find a spring i wont be too happy :)

I'd do as Dan says and take the engine to Astle anyway Elliot .

I brought the 1040 crossley to Astle last year, and i had'nt even ran it for more than 5 minute's.

My Father and I and a few friends had to spend all of friday evening playing with it to get it to run half right .

I'd be surprised if someone does'nt have what your after.

    Regards,
    John

Just got home after stopping off for tea at my mates new house on route at Newtown :).
We should be taking the Lister MH up to Astle or may take the Crossley 1065 and Steves taking his Warsop rammer to go with the Rammers display. We'll hopefully be there on thursday evening all being well

    Looking forward to it!

    Cheers Gary..

We will. be there with the 8 horse petter junior and ruston pump and also the petter light , will be bringing the magneto from the IF warsop rammer which now has a clean bill of health :) .

Hope to arrive mid morning friday to help set up a give a hand with the IF gear , make sure you come say hello if your passing.

BTW the junior produces a pretty good oil fog so dont plan to be down wind  which direction is the play pen again ?

  15. Just look for all the 'modern'ish air cooled cr-p (Op's sorry, I mean engines).

Mind you if the rammers get there way there might not be much left!!

    Regards

Can't make Astle unfortunately, Dan will become known as the rammer man soon! would have brought my Johnson otherwise. I remember years ago at Tatton that it was questioned if a rammer was a statioary engine by a zealous official and we shouldn't bring such things- spoilsport, or saw the crowd pulling potential!

Well Ive got a bit of a problem. I have finally finished the Ruston 2PS just in time for Astle, but the bugger just will not run. Im still taking it, but would appreciate any help possible into getting it to run.
