[b]JAP 4 stroke engine from an ATCO standard lawnmower[/b]

    Please can anyone help with some technical information/spec for the 4 stroke sidevalve JAP engine in my recently acquired ATCO standard lawnmower (circa 1928).

    I have got the engine running, but I would like to have more information about the lubrication system, valve clearances and general engine construction before I launch into a complete tear-down and clean up.

    The engine is very similar to contemporary motorbike engines.
