    Hi All,

I'm doing the leg work for a friend whose next project is to bring his Lister CS Engine back to life.

I've found out most of the information he needs but i'm having trouble in dating it.

This is the information i have: No CS89438 (no gaps) Spec 208/13 HP 3 1/2 RPM 650

At first i thought it was a 30's engine (Thats what the seller thought) but with the RPM being 650 it leads me to believe its a 50's engine! I would really like to pin it down to a year if possible but i have searched with little luck.

    Can anyone help??

    thank you suzanne

    Suzanne,
I believe you are correct in that it is a 1950s engine. May I suggest you contact David Edgington, author of "The Lister CS Story", <Enginbooks@aol.com> ask him and at the same time buy the book which has a wealth of information on all CS sizes and types and especially the numbering system changes. With the book you will forever have the information at your fingertips.
