I still love the comment made by Jeremy Clarckson about BMW drivers... baaa!
I little update. The K type went on it's new trolley this evening, I should get the H mounted on something tommorow, Pics tommorow.
On Monday I plan to get them and the TL running. Then in the week it'll be a blitz on cooling tanks and stands.
Unfortunatly I've lost my right hand man for a day or two, he managed to get in the way while lowering a transit off it's jack in the dark last night, he now has a rather sore knee and ankle. Nothing broken we dont think. He was lucky not to really hurt himself.
Lister H on trolley
Lister K on trolley
And lastly Steves foot
Warning not for the faint hearted
Steves foot looks great not sure about the engines
I hope its not as painfull as it looks.
Keep plugging away you will soon have them finished at this rate. I'm glad I am not in your shed... I can feel the cold from here :!:
My My someone has been busy looking great gary i love them little lister H`s.
Hope steves foot is ok dont look to happy best he gets plenty of black velvet down him
Anyways ill see you on the 30th
merry christmas gaz
Lets have a head count, who is going on the 30th and what are you taking.
I should be taking my A but plans are afoot to fill my van with equipment ready for the 4th Jan which means I wont be able to store it all in my garage.
I'll be there, hopefully with my single flywheel Lister A if I can get to it in the shed...
Typical, you have only been back at work a couple of weeks and the excuses have all ready started.
The Numpty may make a rare appearance
I might make an apperence depending how cold it is
Seriously though we're looking forward to seeing you all!.
Another to the list is John Edwards (shorty) hopes to be with us on the day.
Steve's foot looks worse than it is now, he's getting about well enough on it to be helping me out again even if it's just moral support! but has to be very carefull as all the ice around here one slip and he'll be back to square 1 again.
Not much done today had xmas stuff to do and get out of the way. then this evening we traveled to Husbands bosworth to meet all Steves renenactment mates for a Xmas meal at a pub (very good it was too). Will need to make up some time tomorow hopefully the H and K should run by tommorow evening
What about that lovely M type you just bought?
You mean the lovely M type he has just sold
I will be there but only by myself as i have to come on the train!
The Lister K has run for the first time this evening she's a bit noisy mechanically but will be alright for now untill it can have a full restoration carried out on it.
I'd better have a day off them tommorow but will be back at it on boxing day again
It's amazing how a first run can raise spirits.
why are you having a day off ??????? just because 25 dec
also are you going for the record for the number of replys to a post
have a nice quite christmas at 500 RPM
The intention is to stay in the house tommorow hungover as it's xmas day but I'll no doubt end up in the shed after lunch just can't help myself
Merry Xmas to you too
We're progressing well. The H is back together just needing filling with oil, the valve caps fitting, and the mag.
The K has a cooling tank now and is near to ready, just some soldering on the fuel pipes to be done.
The P has the screen pump plumbed in now! just needs the exhaust sorting and some odds and ends to be ready.
The R has cooling now although a stand is needed, Steve's project for tommorow.
TL still needs finishing we'll do that last if theres time.
It's all go..
There's a good chance that myself, Len Gillings, and Tex Richardson will all be turning up on the 30th. I'll make sure that Len brings his bearing scraper with him
Regrds to all
