Hi Jon, Around 10.30 we'll be kicking off all being well, it's a fairly casual event. I'm hoping that the snow stays away.

    Cheers Gary..

    Gary,

Dont see the problem, its only solid rain and we are daft enough to stand out in that :D

    Martin,

I'm rather surprised by your last comment. As you have aluded too in other posts that your Good Lady is not 100% and that your family has suffered tradgedy from a road accident I would have thought you would have been a bit more responsible or am I being the Numpty as usual?

Although the forecast on Metcheck is better today, read their blub about this week.

Rather than risk having to control an unbraked trailer in dodgy conditions, I'm shoehorning the engine in the back of the car. Hope you have some ramps I can borrow Gaz?

    Mark,

You dont know me that well obviously, others do very well and know that 99% of my comments when followed by a smiley are very tongue in cheek.

I will say though that I can and often do 1000 miles a week as a service engineer all over the country and the weather has never stopped me but what has are the idiots who cant drive, whether dry wet or snowing, dont go prepared and dump thier cars for no aparrent reason when everybody else is still moving. My village has been iced up for over a week, no gritting trucks visit ever, until yesterday but I still managed to get to work and visit my family for christmas.
As for towing I wouldn't take a braked trailer out in this weather because the brake are not progressive they are just on or off and you have no control.

Mark, Ramps are no problem or two MPS's will lift an H type no problem at all :)

We're ready to start bringing engines down from the farm tommorow and we have this evening to sort the P and H out. the K is done. We plan to run the TL briefly on the day but it has no cooling yet, Gaz L is coming over Tuesday afternoon to get a bit done to the TL for us so who knows she might be ready!

    Cheers Gary..

Martin, As usual not looking hard enough. Perhaps this one should be blind as a bat! 8O

Thanks Gaz, that will be a great help. Glad to hear your not lounging around on the Sofa like me... Off to see Allan this afternoon to talk Lister engines :)

Gary and Steve dont use ramps, they have Millward power to unload engines.

    Hi Guys,
I have just checked the weather for the rest of the week and im a bit worried about towing my engine with my car as martin said the brakes on trailers are more on off.
So i may have to leave my engine at home unless the met office is wrong and the roads to much wenlock are good.
Could you give us an update of the weather tomoz moring gary??

    cheers gaz

OK. So now I know what MPS's are! We had a good afternoon trying to work that one out... thanks miley_bob.

Gary, I would do the same if I had been bringing Allans TK. BIG engine - small car... just too risky.

Just hope the reason I'm feeling s**t tonight isnt a chill from Sunday. Off to drown it in something and get a good nights sleep.

    Cheers All

Raining here and warm, relatively that is.

Decided not to bring engine as van is full and I have nowhere dry to put it at moment, just me, a friend and camera.
