Ideal mike! we're going to try and get ours going for then as one of Steves mates wants a demo :). I'm hoping that the weather improves but looking at forcasts I cant see the snow melting before then. The roads are ok around here though and we'll have heating in the workshop and hot food and drinks so hopefully we can make things comfortable enough for every one.
The plan is to run from around 11.00 to around 3.00ish on the day so it's not such a long day for people traveling a long way, I'll keep an eye on the local weather and keep everybody up to date.

    Cheers Gary..

Bad news Gary, Finished work early as Ive run out of jobs so the boss has asked me to go in over the break and help him with some DIY improvements. You can guess which days! Still better than the chap that left today for an uncertain future...
Merry Christmas and all that. Hope to see you all in the New Year.

On a lighter note here is the new 'temp' typist checking out the mouse.

No Problem Mark, I hope things pick up at work soon for you. Have a merry christmas. That typist isn't much use as a cat she's completely missed the mouse :)

    Cheers Gary..

PS this is what mine was up to the other night :)

Evening folks, We've just come in from the shed after moving stuff around my other workshop, after freeing a frozen fuel rack and coaxing the fordson major into life we've managed to extract the TJ and 8HP S type, the Q and R won't be able to make it as they're hemmed in somewhat. We should have around 9 engines out on the day. The weather has made things somewhat difficult so plans have had to be compromised a bit. we'll have them out from 11ish till 3ish hot drinks and food will be served up, I've got a wood burner in the workshop but will probably get the space heater going in there too and sally will be going outside the door.

I'm keeping fingers crossed on the weather

    Cheers Gary..

Woodburner, space heater and sally, are you expecting another ice age? It should be like a sauna in your workshop

Hi Folks, It all went very well!. The weather was a bit milder today but the usual traditional ice and snow was still on the ground.
We had a tune out of some of the Listers but others didnt want to play, "Dan's Lister D really showed them all up :)" they really don't like the damp conditions.
The 5S ran briefly (as only the water jacket was full) for the first time on it's saw rig and the 8S went first bounce and ran perfectly.
It was great to see everyone and we had an unexpected visit from PTE and friends also.
Thanks to Dan and Martin who brought fuel along although we didnt need much as the big ones wouldnt play :( a good day none the less.

Happy new year everyone :D !
    Cheers
    Gary and Steve..

Glad you all had a good day. Thanks for the pics Dan, that Lister TJ looks nice! Know where I would rather have been... I think it was actually colder in work but at least I got a couple of little jobs done for a friend, John. Here is a pic of our play day at Johns yesterday when along with Allan (of Lister TK fame) we persuaded a newly rebuilt Hartop into life for the first time. John (whos foot is on the right) was very pleased. :D he just needs to finish it off now once the weather improves.
I am being reminded by my furry friend that I should really be paying her more attention and not playing with the computer!
    Happy New Year to everyone.

"Nigel was just living up to his nickname"

On a more serious note, thanks must be given to Gary & Steve for providing an excellent day out.

    Gentlemen,

    Here are my pictures.

The first is of the three wise, cough! nearly choked then, men in the Stable waiting for the messiah.

Here we see one of Herrods men checking out the crowd to make sure there are no hidden secrets.

Here we see some of the Shepherds standing aimlessly about with no clue as to what is actually happening.

In this picture we have the local town crier trying to bring everybody to order by creating an earth quake. [IMG]

Local security doesn't look to pleased.

Here we see the Messiah looking over the assembled gifts brought by the three wise, cough neary nearly choked again, men. [IMG]

and finally one of the three wise men turned out to be the local press, here he can be seen using one of those new fangled digital wotsits.
