Small unknown 2-stroke engine?

    Anybody able to shed any light at all on what this is:

    No obvious makers mark.

    Known history would suggest it is most probably pre-war

    Not currently running, but project is on the back-boiler and can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

    Lovely little thing these lightweights, intended as a hydro-plane engine for model boats from what I recall.

    Never seem to come up at a price I’m willing to spend on one! :lol:

    Sorry, posted this and then totally forgot it. Very rude of me.

    Thanks for getting back to me. That is very interesting to know, I wouldn't of guessed it was a Stewart and didn't know about the lightweights, but makes sense that it was for a model.

    I will pass on the knowledge to my brother - the owner.

    Somehow good timing....as a friend and I are just trying to get my R3M back working at moment.
