Well an accident I had in 2010 is coming back to haunt me... At the moment it would seem the non-union bone in my wrist has come afloat causing a bit of damage. I've gone from 0 pain to constant agony in my wrist, I've had to learn to pour the kettle and open beers with my left hand.....
I've been up today and I can still start my H1 but I cant pull or push it around due to the weight of the set. It's small for a genset but weighty.

I am gutted really as it does make me smile when it fires up, it just needs a good load on it to keep it steady.

If you've not seen my other thread this engine was the last of a run of 15 engines so not a common engine at all!

As you see the quote bellow I would ideally like a Petter M series 1, but unlikely to get a swap.... might consider other engines on the smaller/more manageable side of life.
I have an idea of how much I would want to sell it but don't want to put it up for sale as of yet....

Anyways... thats where I am at the minute, gutted to have to think about it but I can't risk any further damage to my wrist, especially if I want to keep using my storage.....

I would love to be able to afford to donate it to the museum being an unusual part of Stuart Turner's History, sadly I don't have that sort of disposable income.

Cheers, Steve, 30 and in the knackers yard.

Sorry to read that,Steve.I hope that with treatment you can at least get rid of the pain, if not restore full strength to the wrist.
It'll be a shame to lose that engine, but at least you'll hVe the smaller ones to keep you occupied.:)

Yes I'm not looking forward to moving on the engine.....
Strength isn't too much of an issue, I'm loosing the range of movement which is worrying.

    Cheers, Steve
