    Hello engine-friends

I have bought many month ago a vertical air-cooled engine.
The problem is that I do not know the manufacturing company and for what the engine was used.
If someone can tell me some informations about the engine please tell!!!
    I thank everyone

I am interested about the year of building
Perhaps it was used on some technical equipment for the army or something else.
In a technical german museum I have seen a similar engine but the other vertical way.
Best regards to all of you!

They are both American Homelite engines, used towards the end of WW2, used for all sorts, some of the inverted ones were used for tank generators and heaters.

They were also built by Johnson and some had pumps on them.

Somewhere I have pictures of a Johnson engine a friend rescued from a scrapyard.
