Unknown Engine

    I did post it on the Smokstak site when I aquired the engine, nobody could identify it then, it may be worth trying again though.

    It looks like the engine wins again.
    Time to play the trump card. I will offer a free pint of beer to anybody who can identify it.
    I have added a close up of the piston on the web page, maybe somebody will recognise the trademark and identify the maker of the piston, it might help.

    Does your crankshaft resemble those at the bottom of page 5 of October's SE mag?
    Could your con rod bearing clamp arrangement be the forerunner to cheaper to manufacture press fit type, also in the picture?
    I wonder if any dimensions are the same.

    Hi Dave
    The crank in my engine is a two piece crank. I suppose when it is bolted together it would look similar. The generator Armature is pressed on to the rear of my crank. Would be nice to see the part numbers for those parts, Mine all have letters GO in front of them.
