Hi Guys, Hope you can help. We have a 1960 vintage Conveyancer D4-24 Forklift which is undergoing a gearbox rebuild. I need a clutch shaft oil seal which is proving to be quite difficult to find. 2-1/4" OD x 1-1/16" ID x 1/2" thick. Here's the problem, it must first stretch over a spline 1-1/4 diameter. The number on the seal is 106-225 RE (or possibly RF)
Can you suggest someone who may stock obsolete NOS seals.

Thanks for the reply I've emailed Redhill Bearings and hope they can help. I have tried local bearing stockists, but they all use the same suppliers.

You could try City Seals and Bearings in Sheffield, I've never beaten them on daft obscure things.

I tried bushing the housing, the new seal wouldn't go over the spline. City Bearings were very helpful but failed also. In the end we tig welded and machined a larger diameter sleeve onto the shaft. Thanks for your help, regards, Will
