    Hello all,

I recently acquired this interesting old WinPower 10L-10 generator and I am having a very difficult time finding information about it. I have found that the company was based in Newton, Iowa USA and that it was originally called "Wind Power" before eventually changing it's name to simply "WinPower".

I would very much like to get this old workhorse up and running again--it's an incredibly sturdy machine, must weigh over 100 lbs. (without the recommended 12V battery), even though it only puts out 1000 watts. I am reasonably certain that 99% of the parts are present, but it'd be nice to have more information about it before I really dig in. Has anybody here encountered one of these before?

I have just discovered that this same unit, albeit in a different colour, was sold by Montgomery-Wards as the "Powerlite". Anybody have any information on those? It may also have been sold by other companies (in other colours, I suppose!).
