    Hi all,
I have a Bamfords Z4 connecting rod with the big end very much out of shape and cannot find data for correctly resizing it. Would anyone have that information or know of a source? I have the maintenance manual and it is not listed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Butch

Not sure I understand. If its that the bore of the large end of the rod is worn then I'd suggest tinning that and casting the babbit directly in the rod.

    cheers

    Roland,
Customer's engine. The rod cap came loose while running and luckily was shut down or quit running prior to parting ways with the rod. We have in the past repaired Z2 Rods to usable condition as you suggest but customer somehow came up with a new insert. I had a set of rod bolts and nuts in the shop. Crank has been reconditioned and ready to go. Problem is the mating surfaces for cap and rod are quite messed up as you might imagine. We can grind the cap and rod to repair the damage and hone but an OEM spec for the big end would be much better than educated guess on my part.
